Originally scheduled for November 5, the Samar State University – Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has opened voting for a special election to fill vacant University Student Council (USC) representative positions, following a low candidate turnout in the recent USC elections.
Students can now cast their votes online to select representatives from the College of Industrial Technology and College of Arts and Sciences. Moreover, COMELEC initially anticipated a pool of twenty candidates for the special election; however, only two are currently in the running.
Result of the special election is scheduled a day after the poll, November 9.
