“Ipaghandog-handog ang buong pag-ibig, at hanggang may dugo’y ubusang itigis kung sa pagtatanggol, buhay ay mapatid ito’y kapalaran at tunay na langit.”
In 1896, four years after Bonifacio founded the Katipunan, a secret organization, the Spanish uncovered this secret. This discovery led to the beginning of the Phillipine Revolution. In April 1897, Aguinaldo had Bonifacio arrested and tried for treason; he was executed by a firing squad.
November 30 – a national holiday commemorating Andrés Bonifacio y de Castro (Father of the Philippine Revolution), a national hero. Bonifacio Day is celebrated annually by Filipinos to honor and remember the hero of the revolution who helped establish the foundation of the country’s independence.
Always remember, that a true hero is measured by the strength of his heart and soul.
