Tagged as “Pagpahayag ug Kahayag,” Samar State University’s biowall and campus grounds lit up on Thursday night, November 21, during the unveiling of the Christmas Belen and Ceremonial Lighting. This marked the first formal ceremony for the event, highlighting the university’s preparation for the festive season.

Organized by the Quality Assurance Office, the ceremony was divided into five major parts, namely: Syahan nga Pagsipat han Belen, Paghimutang han Bata nga Hesus ha Pasungan, Pagbendisyon han Belen ngan Halipot nga Pamalandong by Rev. Fr. Joseph de Guzman and Rev. Fr. Aaron Peñaranda, Pagpalamrag, and Panarit.

Present during the solemn ceremony were University President Dr. Redentor Palencia, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Felisa Gomba, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Dr. Gina Españo, and Vice President for Administration and Finance Engr. Ma. Lourdes Amante.

Additionally, Quality Assurance Director Jake Boy Carbonquillo, Faculty Regent Jhonil Bajado, and University Student Council President Psalmer Dave Gulla were also in attendance.
