Samar State University – Student Welfare Development Services Office (SWDS) gathered students from different colleges for a mental health symposium on the topic “Exploring Emotions: A Journey Inside Out,” at the College of Arts and Sciences – Audiovisual Center on Wednesday, November 20.
The first part of the program commenced with a film showing of the animated coming-of-age movie Inside Out 2. Afterwards, a guest speaker session and Q&A segment were conducted with guest speaker Desiderio Camitan IV, a member of the Psychology Association of the Philippines and an international affiliate of the American Psychological Association.
Camitan elaborated on emotional concepts, highlighting emotional intelligence and management.
Furthermore, the program ended with an announcement from the SWDS for their final activity next month to be posted soon on their official Facebook page.
