It, as a meme, may resonate with you but unknowingly, it has a tint of controversy.
This November, Republic Act 9512 or “National Environmental Awareness and Education Act of 2008” stresses the pivotal role education play in reinforcing sustainable and capable youth and Filipino citizens on achieving ecology conservation & environmental protection.
In light of the recent typhoon events, the strength of our efforts & commitment in securing environmental justice should be as strong as mangrove buffers or the Sierra Madre Islands protecting us from the terrors of stormy seas.
It should not be a choice between research & tree planting because both could suffice. Being displaced due to extreme weather events is scary enough than the two combined.
