With the theme “Sama-samang magtulungan upang antimicrobial resistance ay mapigilan,” aimed at educating local health workers, students, and the public regarding the dangers of antimicrobial resistance and the necessary actions to combat the health issue, Samar State Pharmacy faculty and students attended a seminar held by the Department of Health City Office at MGrand Royale, November 6.
In unison with the universal effort to combat antimicrobial resistance, the DOH designated November as the Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness month, engaging with healthcare workers in the field, and future health professionals to equip them with the knowledge and skills pertinent to public health.
The seminar featured established healthcare professionals, Lindy Tan, RPh, Editha Diaz, RPh, and Dr. Ivy De Guia, who shared their expertise and experiences in the field related to the proper use of antimicrobial medications.
