After a week-long delay due to Tropical Storm Kristine, the Samar State University Palaro 2024, originally scheduled for October 21-24 and later moved to October 28-29, finally concluded on November 4.
Unlike the rain-or-shine matches that tested the mettle of Units 1 to 7—representing the five colleges of SSU Main Campus (College of Industrial Technology, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Education, and College of Nursing and Health Sciences) as well as the participating satellite campuses, Mercedes and Paranas—the awarding ceremony on Monday during the flag-raising was met with clear skies.
CAS claimed the championship title with 137 points, CIT followed closely with 132 points, and SSU-Paranas Campus stood proudly in third with 107 points.
