Six teams from across the colleges and campuses of Samar State University filled the SSU gymnasium with screams of excitement as they performed in a jam-packed first day of the Samar State University Palaro 2024 Men’s Basketball tournament.
The clash between the College of Engineering and SSU Mercedes Campus had the audience on the edge of their seats, as the teams went neck-and-neck. In the end, CoEng’g emerged as the top-performing team, securing the win against SSU-MC with a score of 81-78.
Following that thrilling match, the College of Arts and Sciences showcased their dominance, subduing the College of Nursing and Health Sciences with a score of 123-26.
The College of Industrial Technology closed the day with finesse, taking down the College of Education, and demonstrating excellent team chemistry and ball movement to secure their first victory, 95-57.
As the tournament continues tomorrow, SSU Paranas Campus will face the College of Engineering, and the following matchups will also be announced.
