Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English freshmen from Samar State University visited Catbalogan City’s beloved taho vendor, Alvin Fajardo, to show their support and deliver a donation to aid in his recovery.
“I called God, but God wasn’t the One who answered me, it was Jan Lloyd Alarcon. God wasn’t the One who personally came to me, but it was through the heart of Mr. Alarcon, and he also touched yours… I cannot find the right word more than thank you to express my gratitude,” Fajardo stressed.
Led by Alarcon, the three-day fundraising event called “TAHOpe” in support of Fajardo ended on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, after turning over a total of ₱14,507.82 at his home in Barangay 13.
Present in the visit to Fajardo were representatives from Eastern Visayas Regional Science High School Supreme Student Learner Government (SSLG), Samar National School (SNS) SSLG, and SNS Barkada Kontra Droga organization who are also launching their own fundraising initiatives.
