Samar State University (SSU) Paranas Campus alumna, John Wika, transcended eight other candidates and was crowned Queen Manaragat Kalibungan during the grand coronation night of Queen Manaragat 2024 at the SSU Gymnasium.
Adding to her tapestry of victory this night, Wika also bagged the Best in Manaragat Festival Costume and Best in Eco-Filipiniana Gown, strutting down the stage creations by designer and SSU student Jayne Plasabas. Wika also won the Best in Advocacy Video Award showcasing substance through digital presentation.
Meanwhile, claiming a top five spot and ultimately finishing first runner-up is incoming first-year Bachelor of Physical Education student Pampii Pampillona, marking a great run for SSU students at this year’s search for Queen Manaragat.
The Queen Manaragat 2024 concludes the 21st Manaragat Festival Celebration as well as this year’s lineup of Manaragat pageants advocating for cultural and environmental preservation, conserving and highlighting the Manaragat beauty and heritage.
