This is according to the World Health Organization, which inspired them to choose the date for Self-Care Day. During the month, starting June 24, people around the world celebrated self-care practices and interventions and the difference they can make in everyone’s lives.
In line with Self-Care Day, also marks the 5th year of WHO launching the “Guidelines on self-care interventions for health and well-being.” which paved the way in connecting with communities and healthcare systems.
We all have a role to play in promoting and maintaining our own health. Self-care empowers us to be active agents and also relieves pressures on health systems.
