A shower of recognition rained down on the Queen Samar State University 2024 candidates as they were bestowed with corporate, minor, and major awards during the pageant’s coronation night on May 17 held at the SSU Gymnasium.
Jayne Plasabas of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CoNHS) secured an impressive haul of five minor awards and four major awards. These include:
- Queen SSU-WARAYA
- Queen SSU-Avon
- Queen SSU-DND Optical Clinic
- Queen SSU- Alta Vestida
- Queen Congeniality
- Queen Photogenic
- Best in Production Number
- Best in Casual Wear
- Queen Eloquence
Lara Moreno of the College of Education (CoEd) also shone brightly, taking home the following awards:
- Queen SSU-Lantaw Pitad Inc.
- Queen Professionalism
- Best in Advocacy Video
- Best in Evening Gown
Meanwhile, College of Industrial Technology’s (CIT) Mackie Guevara and Noelle Labong Jr., along with the newly crowned Queen SSU, CJ Babon, bagged the Queen Relanxense Spa award.
Additionally, Maeve Hernandez of the College of Arts and Sciences earned the People’s Choice Award.
