Vying for the title of Queen SSU 2024, Candidate No. 5 Lara Moreno from the College of Education (CoEd) had the chance to share her heart and knowledge with the Tradesmen during the hashtag portion of the coronation night on Friday, May 17, at the SSU Gymnasium.
The hashtag round had the candidate give her take on a relevant hashtag randomly assigned to her for 30 seconds.
#AsynchronousLearning
Answer: “So, hashtag asynchronous classes. You know, asynchronous classes [are] evident nowadays because of the heat index. So, asynchronous classes can be beneficial in a way that you don’t have to go to school because of the weather. But, there are instances that it’s really hard for me as a college student. It is really devastating for me because in our barangay, we don’t have that fast signal. So, I think that asynchronous learning can be seen [positively] and negatively. So, for me, I do not agree with asynchronous learning because personally, I don’t learn in my home because it’s really—there are a lot of distractions and I hope, one day we will go back [to the] traditional way of learning.”
