Vying for the title of Queen SSU 2024, Candidate No. 3 Jovie Tadia from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) had the chance to share her heart and knowledge with the Tradesmen during the hashtag portion of the coronation night on Friday, May 17, at the SSU Gymnasium.
The hashtag round had the candidate give her take on a relevant hashtag randomly assigned to her for 30 seconds.
#JeepneyPhaseout
Answer: “I believe that language [does] not matter, as long you [deliver] well your thought and your opinion to the people. Well, if I [am] going to recap the hashtag, hashtag phaseout. Well, actually in this world [where] globalization [is] increasingly vast, and there’s a lot of technologies and transformation already created. So through the cultural [increase,] the jeepney has been phased out. But always remember that we should enrich the jeepney, because jeepney is our cultural aspect that we need to enrich as human Filipino, so we are here not to be divided into different colleges but striving as one.”
