Eid Mubarak! 🕌
Eid al-Fitr is the celebration for breaking the fast. This is the last day of Ramadan, a holy celebration of the Muslim community. This festivity took place the day after the new moon was seen in the skies. And it marks the start of the month of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar.
People are expected to engage in charitable activities known as Zakat-ul-Fitr or Fitrana to help feed the poor. This grand celebration shows the togetherness of every family through a big banquet and gift-giving to their loved ones, especially the children.
After the month-long activity of sacrifice by the Muslim people, it is very important to celebrate its beautiful end to remember the lasting legacy of Muslim culture.
As Ramadan comes to an end, let’s wish our Muslim brothers and sisters “Eid Mubarak,” or a blessed end to Ramadan.
