Samar State University’s faculty, staff, and students gathered on SSU grounds for the National Women’s Month Celebration kick-off this morning March 1, 2024.
This event, initiated by SSU’s Advocacy on Gender and Women Advancement for National Development (SAGWAN), in collaboration with SSU-Arts and Cultural Heritage and Social Studies Circle, started off with a parade followed by an opening program and the ribbon-cutting of a pictorial exhibit of notable women of Samar.
Under the theme “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan Patutunayan,” the event calls for a new Philippines that recognizes and acknowledges the vital role that women play in our society. With the goal of unlocking the full potential of each woman by providing equal support and opportunities.
