Brush, brush, brush, three times a day,
Brush, brush, brush, to keep cavities away! 🦷🪥
In accordance with Proclamation No. 559, s. 2004, in the Philippines, February is designated as Dental Health Month to urge Filipinos to take charge of their hygiene habits as they develop a sense of responsibility for their own oral wellness. This yearly commemoration aims to raise awareness about the significance of oral hygiene, encourage preventive dental care, and build a culture of healthy smiles across the country.
Dental health is often forgotten when the discussion of overall health is brought up. However, it plays a vital role in safeguarding our general health. It affects not only our smiles, but also our capacity to eat, socialize and communicate, and live a robust life. Throughout this month various campaigns and advocacies are launched to empower and educate people about preemptive solutions to dental health issues and proper oral hygiene practices.
Dental Health Month also encourages collaboration among government agencies, businesses, and healthcare experts. With their combined efforts, they help in organizing seminars and symposiums that aid in publicizing information and awareness campaigns that ensure a unified vanguard in promoting oral health. The country’s goal in promoting proper dental hygiene is not just to improve smiles, but also to boost citizens’ confidence and overall health.
Let’s brush, brush, brush our way to a healthy future. May we use this annual observance as a platform to unfetter and cultivate individuals and communities towards hygiene and prioritization of oral health. Together, we can nurture a nation with healthy smiles that emanate the radiance of dental protection and vivacity.
