Happy National Arts Month, Tradies! 🎨🎶🎭
Art as an avenue of expression is an oversimplification. It has been a medium in the amplification of human emotions. In the present era, it has been a tool of political criticism to challenge the status quo and has long proven itself worthy of attention as it influence public opinion.
This February, we celebrate National Arts Month by virtue of Proclamation No. 683 s. 1991. This observation reminds us to pay deep appreciation to the non-ephemeral works of art we still have remnants up to this day and the cultural figure and workers behind their creations.
As the theme “Ani ng Sining, Bayang Malikhain” echoes excellence as the product of art, may we also live by the principles of authenticity and greatness while we explore the very core of our cultural heritage and identity. Our posterity will be the spectators of our unwavered efforts in preserving and restoring the art breathed into life by our national artists and other unrecognized pioneers of artistic diversity.
