Samar State University represented by Computer Engineering (CpE) students Maui Jane Cale, Michael Lawrence Boco, Nathaniel LIano, Atom Malinao, Irish Egie Arao, Ruben Lorenz Yboa, Loreen Wilmer Yboa, Adrian Abaigar, Jake Lere Boyles, and Matthew Arni Bendo, dominated the Regional CpE Challenge, sweeping first place in the quiz bowl, Robothon, and programming competitions for Python, Java, and C++ categories held in SSU Convention Center, on December 5, 2023.
Meanwhile, Biliran Province State University contenders showcased top-notch codecraft, securing the championship in the C category programming showdown. Delegates from the same school also reigned supreme in the Mobile Legends game.
Eastern Samar State University – Main Campus participants, on the other hand, demonstrated their mastery in breadboarding, claiming the top spot in the competition.
The aforementioned winners are slated to represent Region 8 at the national level, scheduled for the upcoming year.
