Samar State University – College of Nursing and Health Sciences celebrates with pride as the college produced 16 new Registered Pharmacists (RPh) in the recently concluded Pharmacist Licensure Examination held on November 2-3.
An 80% overall passing rate was achieved by the department this year, higher than the national passing rate of 73.65% (2,974 out of 4,038), with 16 out of 20 takers passing the two-day national examination.
Accounting for 81.25%, 13 out of 16 first time takers triumphed and are now Registered Pharmacists, while 3 out of 4 retakers (75%) passed the exam, notching an 80% overall passing rate for the Samar State University board exam takers.
Improving upon last year’s Pharmacist Licensure Exam result that produced 8 licensed Pharmacist, this year, CONHS produced 16 newly licensed Pharmacist, doubling the number of board exam passers.
This achievement does not only bring pride to Samar State University and to the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CONHS), but also serves as an inspiration to Pharmacy students of the department, and other aspiring health professionals of the university.
