Be ready and be prepared as we fight the inequality towards a greater resilient community.
In the past year, the Philippines set the number one spot for the most disaster prone country in the whole world according to the World Risk Index 2022. It is an evidence of how the Philippines struggle every year because of different natural phenomena that can lose the health, life, and livelihood of the people; and it is a big challenge for the country to be equipped and knowledgeable enough to surpass all these calamities.
As we celebrate the International Day of Disaster Reduction with the theme “Fighting inequality for a resilient future,” we are battling for an equal opportunity to be protected forward to a resilient world. So, we are challenging everyone to be part of this big mission to activate our armor in preparing the whole world to gear up for different disasters.
We encourage every person in the world to be ready for the possibilities and be prepared for the impact of these natural disasters. More than being prepared, we have to step up to a higher bar to mitigate the excessive effect of these catastrophes and take some responsibility for a healthier earth. In this way, we are more than prepared, more than knowledgeable, and more than resilient to face the future.
