A new era of student leadership in Samar State University Student Council (SSU-USC) is on the horizon as DASIG’s standard-bearers Joshua Ibajo and Mariel Correche will now take on the roles of the organization’s President and Vice President positions, respectively, as announced by the SSU-Commission on Elections (SSU-COMELEC) today, October 12.
Following the conclusion of the protest period, SSU-COMELEC proclaimed the victory of the lone-running party led by Ibajo, who obtained a total of 2,013 votes, and Correche, who received 2,000 votes.
Alongside their representatives, the newly elected President and Vice President are poised to assume responsibility and lead the organization’s programs and activities for the Academic Year 2023-2024.
