It’s a step closer to the dream profession for 233 fourth-year education students of Samar State University (SSU) as they are set to be officially pinned this Wednesday afternoon, September 20, in the College of Education (COED) 6th Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony held at St. Bartolomew Church, Catbalogan City.
This marks the commencement of Batch Masarig’s peregrination as preservice teachers, signifying their qualification to conduct field study and teaching internship.
Present in the said ceremony are Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Engr. Ma. Lourdes P. Amante; College Dean Dr. Laura B. Boller; Associate Dean Dr. Jonah Gay Pedraza; Student Teaching Supervisor Prof. Manilyn Serpajuan-Sablan; Program Chairs Dr. Art Roncesvalles, Dr. Ariel Mabansag, and Dr. Madelynn Reposo; COED faculty; and other key officials.
