Samar State University (SSU) delegates are now in Baguio City to participate in the 5th National Youth Environmental Summit, taking place in the city’s Teacher’s Camp.
Mr. SSU Jazztin Antonii Acedillo and Miss SSU 1st runner-up Rejhel Anne Memoracion with Student Welfare and Development Services (SWDS) Head for Admission and Recruitment Services Angelyn Machate joined over 600 Green Ambassadors from various universities, local government units, and government and non-government organizations across the country.
The four-day summit commenced March 2 with a theme, “Youth Climate Action Towards Building Sustainable, Peaceful, and Resilient Schools and Communities,” with the goal of developing green ambassadors, green campuses, and resilient communities through strengthening youth leaders’ involvement in different environmental issues.
The event is organized by the Alliance for Green Philippines, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Climate Change Service, and Benguet State University.
