#EVRSCUAA2024 UPDATE | SSU Deer Basketball Men once again asserted its dominance in this year’s edition of Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games, as they toppled over the host institution, NwSSU Lions, 4-0.
A commanding series of three-point shots in the first quarter gave the SSU Deer a significant 12-point lead, 22-10, setting the court for an early dominance in which the Lions never recovered from.
The same intensity was exhibited by the Deer in the second quarter as they extended their lead to 38-31, maintaining control of the game and further pushing the Lions out of contention.
The Deer’s aggression continued into the third quarter, 62-48, never letting the Lions roar for comeback.
Like bucks locking antlers in battle, the SSU Deer pressed on until the final second of the fourth quarter, sealing their first game with a commanding 77-60 victory.
