Following the University Student Council (USC) Elections last October 29, and a subsequent Special Election on November 8, the newly elected USC Officers of Samar State University (SSU) Main Campus finally took their oath and were sworn into office on Wednesday, November 13, at the Office of the University President.
Present at the oath-taking ceremony was the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chairperson, John Michael Bacurio, who officially certified the winners of the election, along with the COMELEC adviser and members, as well as former USC President Joshua Ibajo and other ex-officers.
Additionally, University President Dr. Redentor Palencia, who officiated the oath-taking ceremony, provided USC President-elect Psalmer Dave Gulla his direct communication line as a symbol of open communication between the student council and the administration.
The newly sworn USC Officers of SSU Main Campus A.Y. 2023-2024 are as follows:
- President: Psalmer Dave Gulla
- Vice President: Christian Jack Montejo
- CoEd Representative: Joshua Aying
- CoEng’g Representative: Andreyella Casey Taniñas
- CAS Representative: Arthur Edades Jr.
- CoNHS Representative: Jellan Lee Cabilogan
- CIT Representatives: Syril Joy Sugali, Roel Cabuños
