The College of Industrial Technology men bid and the College of Arts and Sciences women’s pool completes the finals matchup with SSU – Paranas Campus for the Palaro Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Tournament Finals in the SSU Quadrangle this afternoon at 1 PM.
For the last men’s elimination game, CIT slithers past CAS with their usual crafty tactics such as feint attacks and setter dumps. CIT attacked every side and corner of the court, spreading out CAS’ defense and by the second set, CAS fired on all cylinders to stay on the court but CIT stood their ground, sweeping CAS, 2-0.
On the women’s side, the College of Arts and Sciences women revives the yellow and blue bid as they subdue the College of Education with perseverance and determination. CAS took the first set decisively, while CoEd outclasses in the second, but, the third set was a battle of endurance with both units not letting up, CAS ran away in the later part of the set and clinches the women’s finals spot, 2-1.
The SSU – Paranas Campus (PC) men and women effortlessly wrote their names on the brackets as they acquire a serene undefeated record yesterday, October 28. With the PC men sweeping Mercedes Campus and CoEd, while the PC women swept Mercedes and CAS.
All championship rivals having different stakes—Paranas securing the championship in flying colors with their unstained victory slate and CIT men and CAS women defending the main campus’ honor by gatekeeping the chip.
