During her first visit to the province of Samar, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner and Chairperson of the Samar State University Board of Regents, Dr. Marita R. Canapi, was warmly welcomed by the SSU community headed by the University President Dr. Redentor S. Palencia on Tuesday, August 6.

University key officials and personnel convened for a meet and greet with the commissioner at the SSU Convention Center.

Said event was highlighted by addresses from the university president, the four vice presidents, and the CHED commissioner herself.
