Samar State University, in collaboration with Northwest Samar State University, welcomes international students from Indonesia’s University of Brawijaya and Vietnam’s Tra Vinh University for an International Summer Camp running from August 11-24.
With the camp set to run under SSU’s hospitality until August 16, four Indonesian students, two Vietnam students accompanied by one faculty, are the participants for the event aiming to foster global connections and academic collaboration.
Highlight for today’s event is a a Talk Show featuring the foreign students with SSU’s former international exchange students Christian Aban and Christ Palmiano, alumni of SSU College of Education and College of Industrial Technology, respectively.
Today’s activities include meet and greet with SSU President, Dr. Redentor S. Palencia; tour around SSU campus; learning speaking English language and waray; radio guesting at DYSY University Radio; deployment on the activities for cultural awareness and exposure in Samar Island; and planning and emergency and safety awareness.
