To our everyday heroes who never wear capes but always save the day,
Father, you have always prioritized my happiness over yours. You bought me brand new slippers and barbie toys when you no longer even have the comfort of new shoes. Your hands, though rough from labor, were always gentle and warm. Never once did you complain about your own needs and desires.
Without the fanfare of capes or masks, you perform miracles in the most ordinary moments. Today, I want to celebrate the everyday acts of love that often go unnoticed. The way you carry me to bed when I fell asleep watching television, the way you fix broken things around the house, and the small, yet significant gestures that show how much a father cares for his children.
Today, and everyday, I honor you, and all that you do.
Happy Father’s Day to our everyday heroes out there!
