For an indefinite period, the Office of the University President directed the SSU Main and Mercedes Campuses to shift to asynchronous learning when the forecasted heat index in Catbalogan City surges to 42°C or higher, according to another advisory released on Monday, June 3, 2024.
Further, it is required that the Paranas and Basey campuses track the heat index data provided by their respective Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (MDRRM) offices and PAGASA, and adhere to the stipulations outlined in the advisory.
