After a five-year pause, the Regional Tertiary Schools Press Conference (RTSPC) is set to make its comeback in Eastern Visayas this April 3-6 as Visayas State University (VSU) officially announced on Monday, March 18, its hosting.
According to the article published on VSU’s website, the said momentous return is slated to be launched at VSU as part of its month-long centennial celebrations.
“After five long years, the much anticipated Regional Tertiary Schools Press Conference (RTSPC) returns to the Visayas State University as part of its monthlong centennial activities,” the article reads.
Termed as the “biggest student media event,” the said conference will be participated by the various student press and media organizations from the different private and state-funded higher education institutions (HEIs) in the region, including The Tradesman, the official student publication of Samar State University (SSU).
The Tradesman staffers, along with other campus journalists, will be heading to Baybay City to partake in the said conference, which encompasses sessions, workshops, and journalistic competitions in both individual and group categories.
Themed “The Student Press in an A.I. World”, the four-day press conference aims to strengthen the alliance of campus journalists through training focused on advocacy-driven social media utilization and empower them as partners in nation-building efforts.
