As indicated by the World Health Organization (WHO), pneumonia is the single largest infectious cause of death in children globally. It is a form of acute respiratory infection that affect the lungs, making the alveoli fill with pus and fluid limiting oxygen intake and causing painful breathing.
To raise and instill awareness about this widespread disease, we celebrate World Pneumonia Day with this year’s theme “Healthy Lungs for All.”
Let us take our time to encourage and support one another in imparting significant knowledge for the protection of all, children and families. With firm collective effort, pneumonia can be treated, prevented, and eradicated.
You and me, we deserve to breathe with ease. Healthy Lungs for All.
