Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) 8 Regional Culture and the Arts Festival brought music enthusiasts together as the musical category competitions continued this afternoon, October 19, at the Visayas State University (VSU) Convention Center.
Samar State University’s chorale group opened their performance with the delightful melody of May Ibong Kakanta-kanta as their initial warm-up, setting the stage for the enchanting Manlagsak Takon Amin, the official competition piece.
Meanwhile, SSU’s Tukar Tukar Band had the audience grooving and vibing as they performed Balud, a classic Waray-Waray song by Cielo Tibe, and Upuan by Gloc-9 for the live band competition (Reggae).
Said chorale and band team were trained by Bliss Gara and Andres Sequito, respectively.
