And just like that, another chapter begins!
As the journey of a new academic year draws near, here are tips on how to survive your A.Y. 2023–2024 at Samar State University!
- School Uniform. Start the list by appropriately and proudly wearing the student school uniform (refer to Part XXXVII of SSU Unified Student Handbook found at the university website – ssu.edu.ph). It adds up to the confidence in entering college, and of course, in making it as a Tradesman. Friendly reminder, make sure you don’t forget your black shoes!
- Support System. Your academic life can already be hard as it is. Surround yourself with people who will support you, motivate you, and have the guts to correct you. A strong support system may come from friends, family, fellow students, faculty, and organizations. Remember to always choose your relationships wisely.
- Courage/Fighting Spirit. Courage and fighting spirit don’t always mean rising above fear and self-doubt. Sometimes, it means doing things anyway, on top of being scared. To manifest more courage and fighting spirit, just remember why you entered college, why you have those dreams, and why they are necessary.
- Prayers. As you know, college requires a whole lot of doing and a little more praying. Nevertheless, when you feel like you have done everything, believe and leave all the rest to God — trust the plans He has for you.
