Out of ten Filipinos, six are reportedly affected by bullying (PSA, 2018), and today marks the start of Anti-Bullying Week which serves as a reminder that bullying has become an epidemic that affect millions of people’s lives.
Bullying does not only happen in schools and with children. It can occur at work, in communities, online, and sadly, even in our homes.
However, WE CAN CHANGE THIS, and it begins by REACHING OUT, regardless of whether you have been the target of bullying, have been the bully, or have known someone affected by it. No matter how often you have been silenced, your voice still speaks tenfold of impact.
The theme of this week-long celebration of Anti-Bullying is “Reach Out,” and that is only the beginning because together, we will become the change we want to see!
