
SEPTEMBER 16, 2022 —Samar State University got in on this year’s Third Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill led by Mr. Gilbey L. Rosales, SSU-DRRMC Officer in collaboration with the Catbalogan City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office on Friday, 3:00 PM at SSU Gymnasium Grounds. Administrators and staff, as well as students who were around, participated in the said university-wide earthquake drill.
Third Quarter NSED 2022 is the first-ever earthquake drill conducted by the institution since the COVID-19 outbreak, in line with the NDRRMC Memorandum No. 132, s. 2022.
This drill was meant to help students, instructors, and staff learn more about what they can do to protect themselves from hazards caused by earthquakes.
