This election stands as a light of hope for all Filipinos, yearning for a better future for the country. A privilege of the Filipino people to vote and elect a leader that can empower, a leader that leads with an example to follow, and a leader that we can trust. It is the time when voters can rightfully and personally decide who they believe is the most capable of uplifting the country’s current situation.
Millions of Filipinos have gone above and beyond during this election season to encourage, inspire, and kindle a burning desire for clean and honest administration. This desire will be reflected on everyone’s ballot; thus, it must be held in the strictest of honesty and justice. The Tradesman advocates for Filipinos’ votes to be tallied in a fair and honest election. Let no one dare to fraudulently replace the true voice of the majority.
We urge the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to protect the sanctity of the election by holding a clean, organized, and transparent election that reflects the actual voice of the people. May they constantly maintain respect, social justice, genuine love of God and country, honesty, and good government, to direct them in their duty as facilitators and protectors of our votes.
And for everyone, we encourage you to assess each candidate critically and choose wisely. Let no one dictate your choice with coercion or with any form of bribery. Be reminded that your vote carries the future of this country. Lastly, we urge our fellow Tradesmen and all Filipinos, in general, to be vigilant and to raise awareness once potential breaches of protocols are witnessed during election day.
We are not only up to vote but also up to ensure that our votes are protected at all times. Know that your votes are critical to our campaign for a government, by the people, and for the people. We are not to be intimidated, paid, or fooled. We are the Filipino people, and we demand a fair and honest election, honoring the right of the masses to vote and elect this country’s leader, securing the future of the Filipino people.
