Today, we commemorate the 36th anniversary of the non-violent revolution in Epifanio de Los Santos Avenue, popularly known as the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.
This revolution became significant to us Filipinos as it is a reminder that we restored democracy from the iron hand of the dictator, the late Ferdinand Marcos.
Consequently, the late President Corazon Aquino had sworn to be the eleventh and the Philippines’ first woman president.
Let us not forget the victory of the Filipino people who fought for our freedom and democracy.
